Once you have gone through the proposal submission process and your manuscript has been accepted for publication, you will need to submit the final Word files to our editor. (You should of course retain a copy of your manuscript files for your records.)
The process from MANUSCRIPT to BOOK may take anywhere between six and twelve months and involves several stages:
- Copy-editing (4-8 weeks)
- Author responses to editorial queries and suggestions (2-4 weeks)
- Editorial mark-up for design and layout (1-2 weeks)
- Design and layout: heads, subheads, fonts, dimensions etc. (2-4 weeks)
- Format and Output/Typesetting (4-6 weeks)
- Proofreading – by Author and freelance proofreader/in-house (2-3 weeks)
- Cover Design – done while proofreading is taking place. Please let us know if you have nay images or you’d like to use or specific cover ideas.
- Typesetting corrections (1-2 weeks)
- Checking final pages by copy-editor (1-2 weeks)
- Final manuscript to Author for Indexing (1-2 weeks)
