Lloyd G. Waller is a professor of Digital Transformation Policy and Governance. He also serves as the Executive Director of the Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre, a global policy and advocacy think tank headquartered in Jamaica with additional offices in Africa, the Middle East, Canada, and Europe. With a Masters in Sociology of Development focusing on e-commerce and a PhD in Social Policy specializing in electronic tourism, his expertise spans various domains including Digital Transformation Policies and Practice, Electronic Governance, Tourism Resilience, and Development Studies. In this capacity, he leverages his profound understanding of tourism resilience and digital governance to shape policies that enhance global tourism resilience. Professor Waller’s relentless dedication to advancing knowledge and driving positive change in tourism has earned him national and international recognition, cementing his status as a pivotal figure in shaping the future trajectory of global tourism and tourism resilience.
Hon. Edmund Bartlett is the Minister of Tourism for Jamaica and the founder and co-chair of the Global Tourism Resilience and Crisis Management Centre. Minister Bartlett is often described as a dynamic leader renowned for his extensive expertise and achievements in both tourism and politics. He has spearheaded transformative projects such as the Tourism Linkages Network, facilitating collaboration between tourism and other sectors to maximize local economic impact.
As a respected figure on the international stage, he has represented Jamaica in various capacities, further solidifying his reputation as a leading advocate for sustainable tourism development. He is considered the world’s leading thought leader on tourism and tourism resilience.
